1.58

生解為斷二重障等，明斷依他，清淨依他圓成攝故。斷障為得二勝果等，證圓成實也。

Generating understanding is for the sake of severing the two heavy obstacles, etc., which explains severing the paratantra, because the pure paratantra is subsumed under the pariniṣpanna. Severing the obstacles is for the sake of attaining the two supreme fruits, etc., which is realizing the pariniṣpanna-svabhāva.
