類上解文者，二段科有二：一、因果三轉依；二、凡聖斷得。三段科有二：一、悟斷得；二、遣斷證。四段科有二：一、勝解行等四位；二、六轉依中但成四位，四位攝六故。五段科亦二：一、五忍；二、七地，分五故。如是合成八義科段。

Categorizing the above explanations of the text, the two-part outline has two [schemes]: first, cause and fruit with the three transformations of the basis; second, the abandonment and attainment of ordinary beings and noble ones. The three-part outline has two [schemes]: first, awakening, abandonment, and attainment; second, banishing, abandoning, and realizing. The four-part outline has two [schemes]: first, the four stages including adhimukti-caryā; second, within the six transformations of the basis, forming only four stages, because four stages subsume the six. The five-part outline also has two [schemes]: first, the five patiences; second, the seven stages, because they are divided into five. In this way they combine into eight thematic outlines.
