1.89

「變」謂識體轉似二分，釋所、能變。依斯二分，下釋能、所依，我、法俱依識所變故。若依總作二文科者，初文釋第三句中，或復內識轉似外境，釋能、所變，我、法分別熏習力故。下釋能、所依：「愚夫所計」下分為二文，能、所變者，識所變；能、所依者，彼依也。

"Transform" means that the substance of consciousness turns to resemble the two parts, explaining the transformed and the transforming. Relying on these two parts, the text below explains that which relies and that on which it relies, because self and phenomena both rely on what is transformed by consciousness.
