破作用中略有四類：一、生死有用，涅槃無用；二、僧佉等無動轉作用，餘有此用；三、綺更無作、受用等；四、正難有用，設難無用。

In refuting functions, there are briefly four categories: 1. having function in saṃsāra, but lacking function in nirvāṇa; 2. the Sāṃkhyas and others lacking the function of motion and transition, while others possess this function; 3. furthermore lacking the functions of action, enjoyment, and so forth; 4. properly objecting to having function, and hypothetically objecting to lacking function.
