有四薩婆多。此中有四種：類、相、位、待異。第三依作用，立世最為善，如《俱舍》第二十卷。

There are four Sarvāstivādins. Here there are four kinds: differences of genre (bhāva), characteristic (lakṣaṇa), state (avasthā), and relativity (anyathātva). The third, positing the time periods based on functional activity (kāritra), is the most excellent, as in the twentieth fascicle of the Kośa.
