「聖性」，有解：通取一切能生現行無漏種子，不同異生性。彼能發業，招生品類故，唯見道故。八地已上菩薩不生欲界，何故不名不還耶？又有不定性欲還生欲界故，頓悟菩薩還於欲界利生故。

Concerning "noble nature" (āryagotra): one explanation takes it generally as all seeds of anāsrava capable of generating active occurrences, unlike the nature of an ordinary worldling (pṛthagjanatva). Because the latter can generate karma and bring about classes of rebirth, it belongs solely to the darśana-mārga. Since bodhisattvas from the eighth bhūmi and above are not reborn in the desire realm, why are they not called non-returners (anāgāmin)? Furthermore, because there are those of indeterminate lineage who wish to return and be born in the desire realm, suddenly-awakened bodhisattvas also return to the desire realm to benefit sentient beings.
