業果、界地往還、後起應無因：《攝論》第三云：若有於此非等引地沒已生時，依中有位意，起染污意識，結生相續。此染污意識於中有中滅，於母胎中識羯羅藍更相和合。若則意識與彼和合，既和合已，依止此識，於母胎中有意識轉。若爾，即應有二意識於母胎中同時而轉，乃至廣說。

Regarding 'Karmic fruition, going and returning between realms and stages, and subsequent arising would lack a cause': Chapter Three of the Mahāyānasaṃgraha says: 'If someone dies in this non-equipoised stage and takes birth, relying on the manas of the intermediate existence (antarābhava) state, defiled mental consciousness arises, linking rebirth in succession. This defiled mental consciousness ceases in the intermediate existence, and in the mother's womb, consciousness and the kalala blend with each other. If mental consciousness blends with that, once they have blended, relying on this consciousness, mental consciousness operates in the mother's womb. If so, then two mental consciousnesses should operate simultaneously in the mother's womb,' up to extensive explanations.
