問：煩惱可斷得自乘，煩惱不名重，所知非斷不得大，所知之障亦名重，若以所知不障小，二障不障凡？

Question: Afflictions can be severed to attain one's own vehicle, so afflictions are not termed heavy; [the obstruction to] knowables is not severed and prevents attaining the Mahāyāna, so the obstruction to knowables should also be termed heavy. If [you say] the obstruction to knowables does not obstruct the Hīnayāna, do the two obstructions not obstruct the ordinary state?
