敘數論計中，問：以觸為風大，風大成皮根，皮根得觸，而不得風。若爾，觸體是何？答：以堅、濕、癢、飢等而造風大，與風體別，如勝論等。問：皮不得風，風何根得？答：心平等根，不必皮得，准上所說。

In recounting the Sāṃkhya theory, question: Taking touch to be the wind element, the wind element forms the skin faculty; the skin faculty grasps touch, but does not grasp wind. If so, what is the substance of touch? Answer: Through solidity, wetness, itching, hunger, and so forth, it creates the wind element, which is distinct in substance from wind, like the Vaiśeṣikas and others. Question: If the skin does not grasp wind, by which faculty is wind grasped? Answer: By the mind as an impartial faculty; it is not necessarily grasped by the skin, in accordance with what was said above.
