論趣生體要具四義，如本疏明，然總聊簡，一切法有二種：一有為；二無為。無為非生，故不須簡。有為之中，略有三類：一、色；二、不相應；三、心、心所。

To discuss the essence of the realms and destinies, four criteria must be met, as clarified in the basic commentary. But to distinguish them broadly: all phenomena are of two kinds: first, conditioned; second, unconditioned. Unconditioned phenomena are not births, so they need not be distinguished. Among conditioned phenomena, there are briefly three classes: first, form; second, non-concomitant [formations]; third, mind and mental factors.
