答：在無想天久無心故，餘天有心知前生因。雖生下已，亦不能憶前生彼因，由勢分力不計無因。無色歿來無宿住通，不知從彼歿，不於無色後計為無因。汎無因計亦通餘？答：如尋思起者。

Answer: Because in the Heaven of Non-perception there has long been no mind, whereas other devas have mind and know their causes in prior births. Although they have already been born below, they cannot remember their causes for having been born in that prior [heaven], yet by the force of their disposition, they do not conceive non-causality. Dying from the formless realm and arriving [here], one lacks the divine power of recollecting past abodes, does not know one died from there, and thus after the formless realm does not conceive non-causality. Does general non-causal conception also extend to others? Answer: Yes, such as those that arise from vitarka.
