答：據別行相，五中分別寬，通諸有漏。三、七分別，唯第六俱尋、伺二法，及眼等五識。若通行相，三、七、五法寬狹相似。或三、七寬，通無漏故。又五法分別總義，三、七分別別義。

Answer: According to the specific ākāra, discrimination among the five [dharmas] is broad, extending to all sāsrava [dharmas]. The three and seven discriminations are solely the two dharmas of vitarka and vicāra associated with the sixth [consciousness], and the five consciousnesses such as the eye [consciousness]. If according to the pervasive ākāra, the three, the seven, and the five dharmas are similar in breadth and narrowness. Or the three and seven are broader, because they extend to anāsrava. Furthermore, discrimination among the five dharmas is a general meaning, while the three and seven discriminations are specific meanings.
