答：未見文辨，且為一解：佛現八相具足長時，始終不異。菩薩化生隨宜暫現，或不具足，前後或異，或復本形，故與佛別。

Answer: I have not seen any text distinguishing this, but to offer one explanation: When a Buddha manifests the eight aspects, they are complete, endure for a long time, and remain unchanging from beginning to end. When a bodhisattva takes a transformational birth, they manifest them temporarily according to what is appropriate; they may not be complete, they may vary from earlier to later, or they may revert to their original form; therefore, they differ from a Buddha.
