答：准此論文，云：「此位二障雖未伏除，修勝行時有三退屈，而能三事練磨其心。」在資糧位通三十心，不可別配。不爾，十住應不能修十波羅蜜行，未能起堪能練故。

Answer: In accordance with this Treatise's text, it says: "Although the two hindrances are not yet subdued and eliminated in this stage, when cultivating superior practices there are three kinds of retrogression and cowardice, yet one is able to temper one's mind with three matters." In the stage of provisions, it applies generally across the thirty minds and cannot be assigned separately. Otherwise, the ten abodes would not be able to cultivate the practices of the ten pāramitās, since they would not yet be able to give rise to the tempering of capability.
