有傳釋云：若據修行次第說者，僧初，法中，佛後；由僧修行方得佛故。
A traditional commentary says: If explained in terms of the order of cultivation, the Saṅgha comes first, the Dharma in the middle, and the Buddha last; because it is by means of the Saṅgha's cultivation that one attains buddhahood.
