答：但據後身坐菩提樹而說，三十四念得成菩提。三十三心前是二根攝，不障已前有多菩薩，亦不說彼有無漏根。

Answer: This is spoken only in terms of the final lifetime seated under the Bodhi tree, attaining bodhi in thirty-four thought-moments. Prior to the thirty-third mind, they are subsumed under the two faculties. This does not obstruct there having been many bodhisattvas before, nor does it say they possess uncorrupted faculties.
