1.118

二障習亡，如巧練金極調善故。由識機性，故於所調有善方便；應病授藥，故於能調亦善方便。利物無倦，名具大悲。

The latencies of the two obstacles are destroyed, just like skillfully refined gold that is extremely pliable and fine. Because he knows the capacities and dispositions [of beings], he has skillful means regarding those to be subdued; administering medicine according to the disease, he also has skillful means regarding the ability to subdue. Benefiting creatures without fatigue is called being endowed with great compassion.
