Explication: Manifest complete enlightenment is the knowledge of all phenomena; being extremely well-versed is the knowledge of the aspects of the path; manifest, equal, distinctive enlightenment is the knowledge of all modes. Furthermore, fascicle 477 states: "If during the uninterrupted path one practices all dharmas without having freed oneself from the dark hindrances, without having reached the other shore, without having attained sovereignty, and without having obtained the fruit, one is called a bodhisattva; if during the liberation path one practices all dharmas having already freed oneself from the dark hindrances, having already reached the other shore, having already attained sovereignty, and having already obtained the fruit, only then is it called different; because the stages are different, the dharmas are not without distinction." In accordance with this text, the words "no different" are an alternative name for "equal"; the hindrances not being abandoned and so forth show that the Buddha is superior; based on this authority, it is reasonable in principle.
