1.32

此有二釋：一云，說者成悲決定，聽者惠決定；二云，由近善、惡二友，令能近者成於邪、正二識決定。

There are two explanations for this: One says, the speaker achieves the determination of compassion, and the listener achieves the determination of wisdom. The second says, by associating with the two kinds of companions, wholesome and unwholesome, one who associates is caused to achieve determination in the two consciousnesses: wrong and correct.
