答：而言五大別成根者，且約展轉少相成說，據實成根體唯唯量，由斯十六名唯變易。審思。

Answer: Saying that the five great elements individually form the faculties is spoken provisionally in terms of a minor, gradual assisting formation; according to fact, the substances that form the faculties are solely the subtle elements (tanmātra); for this reason, the sixteen are called solely transformation. Consider this carefully.
