乍觀兩解雖總別殊，然皆言大而能造根，十一非本合順二解，實理前釋且約展轉有助成義，實成根體是五唯量，故順後釋。

At first glance, although the two explanations differ in general and particular, both say that the great elements are able to produce the faculties; the eleven being non-fundamental should conform to both explanations. In genuine principle, the former explanation is provisional in terms of having an assisting role gradually; the substances that genuinely form the faculties are the five subtle elements (tanmātra), hence it conforms to the latter explanation.
