彼說五根、心平等根是現量體，彼以大等成於色等，故得色時亦得大等。我執等法現量得者，皆准此知。

They say that the five faculties and the faculty of the equal mind (manas) are substances of direct perception (pratyakṣa); because they take the great elements and so forth to form physical form and the like, when apprehending physical form one also apprehends the great elements and so forth. That phenomena such as the I-maker are apprehended by direct perception is understood on this basis.
