1.618

由我能令九德和合而能起智，故舉所和及所起智以顯我體。有云：和合即和合句，由我與彼和合為因，和合即能和合九德。

Because the self can cause the nine qualities to unite and give rise to cognition, the qualities united and the cognition generated are cited to reveal the entity of the self. Some say: 'Unite' means the category of inherence (samavāya); because the self serves as the cause for inherence, inherence can then unite the nine qualities.
