如樹草等遭風等緣，枝葉摧殘，與空離際生得一離，離是所生，故名離生。所生之離者，此釋詞也。復由離體能令法離，合義翻此。

When trees, grasses, and so forth encounter conditions such as wind, their branches and leaves are shattered, and a disjunction is produced at the boundary separating them from space; the disjunction is what is produced, hence it is called 'produced disjunction'. 'Disjunction that is produced' is an explanation of the phrase. Furthermore, because the entity of disjunction can cause things to disjoin, the meaning of conjunction is the reverse of this.
