答：恐後刧成無種子故。故《俱舍論》第十二云：一類外道執極微常，彼謂空劫餘極微在，何緣彼執猶有餘極微？勿後麁事生無種子故，由斯此師計微常也。

Answer: For fear that during the subsequent kalpa of formation there would be no seeds. Therefore, the twelfth fascicle of the Abhidharmakośa-bhāṣya states: 'A class of non-Buddhists maintain that infinitesimal atoms are permanent. They state that during the empty kalpa remaining infinitesimal atoms persist. For what reason do they maintain that remaining infinitesimal atoms still exist? Lest subsequent gross entities be born without seeds. For this reason this master maintains that infinitesimal atoms are permanent.'
