答：為二釋，一云：雖至佛位亦能緣微，因位不爾，不同惠、法因，果皆能以微為境。二云：而言佛眼能緣者，但取一分慧為性者，肉、天至佛雖名佛眼，以體非惠故不緣微。後釋為勝。

Answer: There are two explanations. One says: Although upon reaching the Buddha stage they can also cognize atoms, in the causal stage this is not so, unlike wisdom and Dharma which, in both cause and fruition, can take atoms as their domain. The second says: Saying that the Buddha eye can cognize them takes only the portion whose nature is wisdom; although the fleshly and divine [eyes] reaching Buddhahood are called the Buddha eye, since their entity is not wisdom, they do not cognize atoms. The latter explanation is superior.
