有義：今不依此，如所熏種雖非是色，而能防色假名為色何妨？現思以非色故，雖不能表而能發色，假名表色。然疏主意近覺知非，表、無表章許名表也。

One interpretation holds: Now we do not rely on this. Just as the perfumed seeds, though not material form, can prevent material form and are metaphorically named material form, what obstacle is there? Since active volition is not material form, though it cannot manifest, it can initiate material form and is metaphorically named manifest form. However, the author of the Commentary recently became aware that this was incorrect, and in the chapter on manifest and unmanifest [action] he permits calling it manifest.
