釋曰：種是生果之因緣，故名為生緣，由種有生果之功能，果方得有，種名攝受，即所生果名為增盛，或種有彼生果勢用，名為增盛。增盛即因，由有此能假立為得，廣有同異如彼鈔釋。

The explanation states: Seeds are the primary cause for generating the result, hence they are called the 'generation-condition.' Because the seeds have the function of generating the result, the result can then exist; hence seeds are called 'appropriation.' The generated result itself is called 'enhancement'; or, the seeds' capacity and potency to generate that result are called 'enhancement.' 'Enhancement' is precisely the cause.
