此我見斷而有兩說：一云，即與當地，第九惑同時斷；一云，九地第六我見，皆至金剛一時頓斷。今依初義。若後義者，離欲之時有斷、未斷。有云：約伏有成、不成。

Regarding the abandonment of this self-view, there are two explanations: one says it is abandoned simultaneously with the ninth affliction of that stage; the other says the self-views of the sixth [consciousness] across the nine stages are all abruptly abandoned at once when reaching the diamond[-like samādhi]. We now follow the first meaning. If according to the latter meaning, at the time of detachment from desire there would be both abandoned and not abandoned. Some say: 'Possession and non-possession are explained in terms of suppression.'
