四緣之中除因緣外皆名為緣。且自六根望自六識名親增上，餘望六識名之為疎，不為礙故，非近生故。餘准此知。

Among the four conditions, excluding the causal condition, all are named 'conditions'. Furthermore, one's own six sense faculties, with respect to one's own six consciousnesses, are called intimate predominant [conditions]; the others, with respect to the six consciousnesses, are called remote, because they do not obstruct and do not immediately produce. The rest should be understood by analogy with this.
