《疏》有兩意，初立量破，而言此者，此小內聲，彼亦彼小絃管聲也。次云：又若語聲等者，此言此自內屈曲聲，彼即彼外內生名聲。然《疏》中量與前外量作有法差別，思可知也。

The Commentary has two intentions. First, establishing a syllogism to refute: as for saying 'this', this is the internal sound of the Hīnayāna; 'that' is also the sound of strings and pipes of that Hīnayāna. Next, it says: 'Furthermore, if speech sound...' and so forth: 'this' here refers to one's own internal sound of flexure, and 'that' refers to the sound that produces names externally and internally. However, the syllogism in the Commentary constitutes a differentiation of the subject with the preceding external syllogism, which can be understood by contemplation.
