答：彼執空一而與法合，前難虛空隨能合法體應成多；今責能合隨所合空體應成一，若更互遍可名體一，若不遍者何名一耶？應作量云：彼法應遍此法；執彼此法體是一故；彼應如此，亦同《二十唯識》難無次行等量。

Answer: They hold that space is one and combines with dharmas. The previous challenge was that space, following the dharmas that combine with it, should become multiple; now it rebukes that those that combine with it, following the space combined with, should become one. If they mutually pervade each other, they could be called one in substance; if they do not pervade, how could they be called one? One should frame the syllogism: 'Those dharmas should pervade these dharmas; because you hold that those and these dharmas are one in substance; just like that dharma.' This is also identical to the argument in the Viṃśikā challenging non-successive movement and so forth.
