根實唯種，由熏種時心變似色，《對法》據此熏時似色，名為現色，餘根亦然。
The faculties in reality are only seeds; when the seeds are perfumed, the mind transforms into a resemblance of matter. The Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya, relying on this resemblance to matter at the time of perfuming, names it actual matter. The same applies to the other faculties.
