詮謂詮顯，能顯於法並名為詮；非唯名等獨名詮也。三性不同，理從於詮故分三種，談理是一，但名真如。

Designation means revealing and making evident; anything capable of revealing a dharma is collectively called a designation. It is not that names and so forth alone are called designations. The three natures are different; because the principle follows the designation, it is divided into three kinds. Speaking of the principle, it is one, and is merely called suchness.
