Merely saying "unconditioned" does not constitute the six compound analyses (ṣaṭ-samāsa), because there is no separate combination. If one says "space-unconditioned" and so forth, they are all appositional compounds (karmadhāraya), all as in the previous commentary. There is an opinion: in "cessation of conception and sensation," cessation belongs to conception and sensation, which is an appositional compound; "unconditioned of the cessation of conception and sensation" is then a determinative compound (tatpuruṣa). If cessation is unconditioned, "cessation of conception and sensation" is a determinative compound; "unconditioned of the cessation of conception and sensation" is then an appositional compound. Furthermore, because the unconditioned is attained depending on the ground of agitation, "unshakeable unconditioned" is also a determinative compound.
