按《婆沙》第九云：西方諸師作如是說，與惠俱生諸蘊相續，自身攝者是俱有法。有部難云：「若爾，眼識應不能取自身諸色，餘識亦爾。」彼作是說：五識能取自身中境，意識不能。有部難云：「若爾，意識應不能取一切境界，便為非理。」有部自云：「此隨轉色及此隨轉不相應行，名俱有法。」

According to the ninth fascicle of the Mahāvibhāṣā: The Western masters state as follows: "The continuity of the aggregates co-arising with wisdom, when subsumed under one's own person, are co-existent dharmas." The Sarvāstivāda objects: "If so, the eye consciousness should not be able to apprehend bodily matter within one's own person, and likewise for the other consciousnesses." They replied: "The five consciousnesses can apprehend objects within one's own person, but the mental consciousness cannot." The Sarvāstivāda objects: "If so, the mental consciousness should not be able to apprehend all cognitive objects, which would be unreasonable." The Sarvāstivāda itself states: "The matter that conforms to this [mind] and the non-associated formations that conform to this [mind] are called co-existent dharmas."
