詳曰：或唯現家會《所緣論》名功能意，彼言功能據極成說，雖實現色是眼等根，由不極成故彼不說。

Detailed analysis: Or it is that those who uphold only actual [faculties] harmonize with the intent of the Guan suoyuan lun calling them potentialities; its statement of potentiality relies on what is commonly established. Although actual matter in reality constitutes the eye and other faculties, because it is not commonly established, that [treatise] does not state it.
