有所變似依之立假，由似既無故假不立，言能說假即前第一假我、假法，但依說立，名為能說。

Only if there is a transformed resembling can a designation be established based on it; since the resembling is already nonexistent, the designation cannot be established. The phrase "designating designation" refers to the aforementioned first designated self and designated dharmas: because they are established merely based on conventional expression, they are called "designating."
