前二破中皆有其量，今略言之。破初量云：汝言類句定不依之立於假火；無共德故；猶如水等。破第二量，宗同於前；因云：猛赤等德有互離故；猶如水等。更思。

In the preceding two refutations there are formal inferences; now they are stated briefly. The inference refuting the first says: The category-padārtha you assert definitely does not have designated fire established based on it (thesis); because it lacks a common quality (reason); just like water, etc. (example). In the inference refuting the second, the thesis is the same as before; the reason is: because qualities such as fierceness and redness are mutually separated; example: just like water, etc. Consider this further.
