大乘共相體性是無，唯觀心中作共相解，約此行解名為共相，具如《燈》辨。

In the Mahāyāna, the intrinsic nature of a common characteristic is nonexistent; it is only within the contemplative mind that one forms the understanding of a common characteristic. In terms of this active understanding it is called a common characteristic, as fully discriminated in the Liaoyi deng.
