答：遍通諸法名為共相，此實觀心行解安布，今談此心所緣之法是相依他；不爾，此心緣何為境？然此相分實不通餘，但是觀心作通餘解，由是前後亦不相違，更有多妨如《燈》具明。

Answer: Being pervasive to all phenomena is termed 'common characteristic'; this is in truth the conceptual arrangement of the contemplation mind's activity and understanding. Now discussing the phenomena cognized by this mind, they are paratantra aspects; if not, what would this mind take as its intentional object? However, this nimitta-bhāga in truth does not extend to the others; it is merely that the contemplation mind forms an understanding that extends to the others. Consequently, the earlier and later [statements] do not contradict each other. There are further many objections, which are fully clarified in the Deng.
