答：初釋為勝，有增義顯。若第二釋，減義難知。雖三界殊，能所緣等，何為而有行相減耶？故第一勝。

Answer: The first interpretation is superior, as the meaning of "increasing" is clear. In the case of the second interpretation, the meaning of "decreasing" is difficult to understand: although the three realms differ, the apprehending and the apprehended are equal, so why should there be a decrease in the cognitive aspect (ākāra)? Therefore the first is superior.
