答：有二釋。一云證自變他扶塵。二云證自不變他根扶塵，共許不待言故。而證意云：若自能變他依及根，彼往他等，根依合在，俱所變故。既唯依在，而根滅無，返證餘時，俱變依處。

Answer: There are two explanations. One says it proves that one transforms the supporting material elements of others. The second says it proves that one does not transform the sensory faculties or supporting material elements of others, because that which is universally accepted needs no mention. The intention of the proof is: if oneself could transform the support and faculties of another, when they go elsewhere and so forth, both the faculties and support would remain together, because both would have been transformed. Since only the support remains while the faculties cease to exist, this inversely proves that at other times, both transform the support.
