Detailed analysis: The meanings of conventional and real are variable according to contrast. Just as with the seeds of Mahāyāna, when ultimate and conventional are contrasted, because seeds are not solely ultimate, they are called conventional; when existence and non-existence are contrasted, because seeds are not completely non-existent, they are called real. Craving is also like this; what fault is there in using it as an example? In contrast to the conventional contact of the three in harmonious combination established by the opponent, craving can be called real; hence the first reason has no fault.
