答：觸等雖復不自相應，然餘四法亦即是彼王相應法，所以故得例相應門。行相與王無少交涉，豈得相例？

Answer: Although contact and so forth do not associate with themselves, nevertheless the other four dharmas are precisely the dharmas associated with that primary mind, and for this reason they can be drawn as parallel under the rubric of association. The mental aspect has not the slightest relevance to the primary mind, so how could they be made parallel to each other?
