答：為因果時，雖前後並，然據自體，而於現在有生滅二，不望別法，以分二時，故名一法。

Answer: When acting as cause and fruit, although they are juxtaposed before and after, nevertheless, in terms of its own substance, in the present it has both arising and ceasing; without looking to other dharmas to divide the two periods, it is called a single dharma.
