疏釋問意而有兩種：有義：今不依此，所以者何？此前但釋阿羅漢名，既未釋捨，如何先問？故此但問三乘無學通名羅漢之所以也。

The Commentary explains the meaning of the question in two ways. One opinion says: Now we do not follow this [explanation]. Why is this? Previously it only explained the name of an arhat; since it had not yet explained the abandonment, how could it query it beforehand? Therefore, this merely inquires into the reason why the aśaikṣas of the three vehicles are all commonly named arhat.
