意遮外難。外難意云：若無間道捨異熟識，此時何為不名為佛？故約成就以釋彼疑，彼時初得未圓滿成，不名為佛。

The intention is to ward off an external objection. The opponent's intention says: If the uninterrupted path abandons the maturation consciousness, why at this time is one not named a Buddha? Therefore, it explains their doubt in terms of accomplishment: at that time it is first attained and not yet fully accomplished, so one is not named a Buddha.
