答：還者趣向，由道而趣所證涅槃，故名為還。或捨妄歸真是還義也，亦猶返朴還薄之謂。

Answer: 'Return' means proceeding towards: because one proceeds toward the realized nirvāṇa by means of the path, it is named 'return'. Alternatively, abandoning delusion and returning to the real is the meaning of 'return', just like the phrase 'returning to simplicity and reverting to modesty'.
