正以執藏以明賴耶。若以能藏為賴耶者，八地亦有能藏之義，云何得言捨賴耶名？言捨八地等等諸無礙，如來亦有能藏義故。

It is precisely by 'holding as a store' that ālaya is explained. If one explains ālaya by 'active storage' (holding), the eighth stage also possesses the meaning of holding; how then could one say that the name ālaya is abandoned? As for speaking of abandonment at the eighth stage, it refers to various unimpeded states, because the Tathāgata also possesses the meaning of holding.
